I have been looking around for a good registry cleaner that is free and cannot seem to find one. any suggestions?

Yep, they said it. CCleaner is great, free and lets you know when new versions are available for download. I’ve been using it for about 3 years now.

You can use a freeware ‘ACleaner’. It optimize your system registry by finding and removing errors and invalid entries. For maximum safety, it will make a backup of the repaired entries. However, if you try and use this tool you’ll quickly find that it is not very effective at cleaning many issues from your computer. It typically finds around 40-50 problems every scan, which leads me to think it’s not very powerful.
